Setting the standard in HR imagery
Kaufland launched in Germany in 1984 and now operate almost 1,300 stores with 150,000 employees across seven European countries. Soon to commence retailing in Australia, their headquarters are based in Melbourne with state offices in Brisbane, Sydney and Adelaide.
Recruiting the right staff is key in Kaufland’s ambitious Australian growth plan. Accordingly, it was important to encourage the best and brightest talent in the Australian retail landscape to consider their future with Kaufland. With a small team at this stage, our brief was to create a series of internal and HR recruitment images that could encourage a diverse group of professionals to apply to join the organisation.
Needless to say, such an important project demanded an outcome of not only the highest quality, but also shot to a price that reflected their budget/value ethos. In order to guarantee a great result at a great price, using real staff as talent, Leap Agency partnered with long-term photography collaborator Jim McFarlane. Jim isn’t just one of Australia’s most accomplished photographers, his combination of technical skill and engaging personality make him perfectly suited to the demands of capturing great images of amateur talent. The combination of Leap Agency’s experience in delivering excellence on a budget and Jim’s relaxed approach made Kaufland’s staff feel comfortable and confident and deliver results that surprised even them.
